Prism Learning

Hello! My name is Manisha Dabke.

I started ‘Prism Learning’ Tutoring center in 2014. It has been a splendid journey for the last seven years and I am looking forward to more joyful years.

I started my career in the field of plant genetics. I have a Master's degree in Plant Biology and worked in the biotechnology field for a couple of years. My heart always wanted to work in the field of education. I earned a degree in Education and I started my journey as a teacher with my elder daughter’s schooling; I worked at private school Challenger in California for seven years. Then I transitioned to another Private school Quarry Lane in California for another seven years. I also worked at San Ramon School district for a year and after that I decided to have my own tutoring center and Prism Learning was born.

My main purpose behind Prism Learning is to help students achieve their goals. Supporting students in understanding and mastering the concepts, giving them a boost to rigorous coursework are some of the areas I constantly work with. Apart from academic focus I take efforts in enjoyment of learning. Understanding 5 W in learning is very important: Why, Who, Where, What and how. If children’s curiosity is awakened and as they see results of their efforts, they start enjoying learning.

Apart from academics we do some fun projects like painting, making slime, solving puzzles, field trips, yoga and many more. Making kids community so they can support each other and achieve their best is the intention behind the classes.

Apart from teaching I enjoy practicing yoga, running, and painting. I am a certified Yoga teacher -200 hour RYT. I ran more than 20 half marathons (13.1) and one full (26.2 miles) marathon. I earned an AA degree in Studio Art. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy learning myself.
